    Idea in development:
You know the Verizon Wireless commercials where there are a ton of people following someone on a cell phone? Let’s do that.

The Zombie event was awesome! I think next time, to finish it off, we should all combine together and dance to thriller

    Ian that would be AWESOME.
Imagine what the people around you would think. haha
I think the cell phone thing would work really well, just make sure you have an insane amount of people. Some with hard hats, some with laptops and things, pretending to check the status of the call.

I just found this blog so I don’t know if this has been done but I participated in an experiment with a dance group in VA that might be a fun event for you. Basically we went to a public place with a long straight walkway (ours was in a small, downtown, pedestrian mall). A large group of us started all together at one end and walked as slowly as possible (each at our own pace) toward the other end. The only rule was that you were not to speak to anyone and maybe (if I recall) avoid making eye contact/communicating.

The results were interesting – we were ignored, followed, whispered about, spoken to, whistled at, and a few folks even got a bit confrontational or incensed by what we were doing. It was a memorable experience and I was actually sore afterward because of the muscle control it takes to walk verrrrry slooowly for extended periods! Anyway, glad to have found the blog! I’m now following you on Twitter!

The Sound of Music will be playing here in Houston this December. What about a Sound of Music Flash Mob? A new twist on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EYAUazLI9k

Everyone could meet to sing and spin on a hill top somewhere….

This is similar to the Mp3 thing, but what if instead we meet up somewhere and at exactly the same time, we put on our iPods and start dancing to our own music at the same time, and then after 5 minuets of this we leave.

    What do you think?

I think that’s a fantastic idea! It’s called a “silent rave” or “silent disco” or something similar. Do you have any music you can suggest?

Hey, has this group ever done something like this? Check out what Improv Toronto did… I think its a fantastic idea!
